TROFIL®, world-wide, is one of the oldest registered trade names from the year 1958, patented for the production of Monofilaments from Polyolefins.

The name TROFIL® originates from 2 words. The first part comes from the word„Troisdorf“, , the place of origin of the patent and the second part from the word „Filament“ (=thread), the end product resulting from the patent.
